From Christin:

I’m not sure where to start. Buster was my tiny pony that could. He was the lowest selling pony at the auction the day I attended. His feet were grossly overgrown and he looked like they really put him through the paces. But he was a sweet soul and tried his hardest to do what was being asked of him when out in the ring. He let me pick his feet up without even a second thought. I had just lost my Grandfather (the man who mostly raised me, acting as a step in for both parents) and I was feeling a little lost myself. I brought Buster home with me that day.

Buster let my son, a loud crazy toddler, brush him, love on him, and ride him. We did short trail rides together, we did parades, we went Christmas Caroling, we even won Grand Champion for the leadline division at my local riding club.

When Buster got sick it was a slow process and I spent months going back and forth with the vet trying everything we could think of to help my little pony. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough and one rainy Thursday morning my son and I cut up a bunch of apples (Buster’s favorite treat) and hand fed him all the slices while we said goodbye to our best friend… the little pony with the biggest heart.

It’s with that memory that I made this polish. A red jelly filled with fairy flakes and bit of reflective glow glitter. It took a few weeks before I was even able to wear the polish myself, but when I did it made me think about my little pony and how bright and vibrant of a soul he was. I knew I wanted to donate to an equestrian charity in memory of Buster but the polish gave me an idea. What if I could share my memories of Buster with everyone while also contributing to a charity that helps others. I then reached out to the maker at Broken Pixel Polish, Michelle, and together we created this collab.
